Greek Cottage - Holiday Cottage to Let in the Peloponnese

Located in the heart of the Peloponnese, the cottage boasts spectacular views of the hills of the Argolid and the bay of Nafplio. Whether you are looking for a base from which to explore the region and all the sights it has to offer or simply a truly ‘get away from it all’ holiday, you won’t be disappointed.
The village of Ellinikon is approximately 2 hours from Athens and close to the main coastal road .

The Peloponnese is steeped in ancient history and Mycenae and Epidavros are within easy driving distance. Árgos , the nearest town, claims to be the oldest continuously inhabited town in Greece (c. 5000 years) and is home to a number of ancient ruins. The theatre, built by Classical Greeks and adapted by the Romans, is estimated to have held 20,000 spectators.
Nafplio, the first capital of Greece is also just a few kilometres away. This elegant resort has stunning architecture and the castle is well worth a visit.
There are a number of unspoilt (and uncrowded) beaches along the coastline where you can swim, relax and, if you choose to, watch the sun go down from the comfort of a beachside taverna.

The cottage can sleep up to 4 but is ideally suited for 2 people. There is a double bed in the bedroom and plenty of storage space. The lounge and inside dining area have been decorated with the history of the region in mind. The tiled bathroom has a small , Greek -style bath with shower attachment and the kitchen has a fridge, small cooker and microwave.
Bedlinen and towels are provided (There is a charge for electricity consumption.) and there are large supermarkets in Argos although you may prefer to buy provisions from local stores. There are also plenty of tavernas offering excellent food at very reasonable prices. Overall, the emphasis is on simplicity and tranquillity as hopefully, the photographs demonstrate.
Hiring a car is probably the best way to see the region and a preferential rate has been negotiated with a local firm for anyone staying at the cottage. Alternatively, you can make your own arrangements or hire a car from the airport. There is also a regular bus service from Athens to Argos and Nafplio and an occasional train service.

In addition to the cottage, there is also limited availability for the following accommodation :

The Main Cottage (sleeps up to six)
This is built in the same style as the cottage but on two floors. The large, basement bedroom sleeps four and is wonderfully cool in the summer months. The main open-plan living room has air conditioning, a fridge, an open fire and a piano. It is beautifully furnished. The cooking facilities are simple (small calor gas cooker) but can be located inside or out. There is a large covered verandah with table and chairs and a barbecue. There is also a huge patio area complete with pergola. The views are spectacular. In addition, there is a separate bathroom and a further bedroom which can sleep two. Please note that availability is very limited. Rates available upon request.
